EXPLORER PROGRAM
 
The Cohanzie Fire Company hosts a Fire Explorer Program through the auspices of the Boy Scouts of America. This is a vocational program for boys and girls aged 14-18 whom would like to learn about firefighting and the emergency medical services. The program is designed to provide a positive place to be for youth in today's day and age and allow them to learn a trade. Explorers are eligible for free training and scholarships. To apply the prospective boy or girl need be at least 14 years of age, enrolled in school or have proof of home schooling, be tobacco and drug and alcohol free (The Cohanzie Fire Company has a zero tolerance policy for drugs and alcohol and performs initial and random testing) and maintain a minimum of  C average.
